The first milestone of success
In the Gold City of Pforzheim, in the very heart of the beautiful Black Forest, the married couple Heinz and Ilse Nesper founded the Heinz Nesper GmbH after an initial journey to the Japanese pearl farms. The company quickly becomes one of the most important importers of cultured pearls in Europe. This success is based on the company's philosophy, which makes honesty and loyalty the focus of everything they do. With these two values and the Asian wisdom "Only years count in the Far East", Heinz Nesper builds up the urgently needed trust to be able to do business successfully with Japanese pearl farmers.
1992
From the value chain to the pearl chain
Thanks to the excellent network of the company's founder, his son Frank Nesper was granted the opportunity to spend six months as a trainee on what was then Japan's largest pearl farm, owned by Tasaki Shinju, to become involved in the entire process of pearl cultivation. These unique insights are the key to his passion for exquisite pearls, his great expertise and his long-term relationships with the best pearl farmers in Japan, Australia, China and Tahiti.


1994
The second generation enters the business
Frank Nesper joins his parents' company and marries his wife Yana Nesper.
1996-2000
The power of change
Step by step, Heinz Nesper GmbH is being developed from a mere importer of cultured pearls into a Pforzheim-based jewellery manufactory with its own design.


2005
Worldwide expansion
In the meantime, Heinz Nesper GmbH has developed into one of the leading German companies that imports, trades in and processes pearls and counts customers around the globe. The company now also showcases its creations at the international jewellery fairs Baselworld in Switzerland, Inhorgenta in Germany and, a little later, VicenzaOro in Italy and Couture in the USA.
2010
New paths
The company launches the premium brand YANA NESPER with a collection of modern pearl jewellery designed with a strong sense of fashion, with great appreciation for the details and crafted with passion.


2015
New home
The company moves into a new building in Pforzheim, in the pleasantly named Schwarzwaldstrasse (Black-Forest-Street).
2020
Award-winning design
With its unconventional, sophisticated and cutting-edge pearl jewellery creations, the YANA NESPER brand is honoured with the "German Design Award".


2022
Cooperation with Netflix production "Emily in Paris" 3rd season
YANA NESPER pearl jewellery is part of the most elegant and romantic looks in season 3 of the popular Netflix series EMILY IN PARIS! The main characters Emily and Sylvie wear our pearl jewellery as the perfect match for their stylish outfits. All characters of season 3 were styled by Paris based costume designer Marylin Fitoussi.
2024
Awarded design
Yana Nesper was honoured as "Designer of the year" with the "Inhorgenta Award" for her unconventional, innovative and versatile pearl jewellery design.
